Palestinian Reaction to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Policy Speech

On the 17th of June, AIC spoke over the telephone with Nassar Ibrahim in Beit Sahour, in the occupied West Bank. Nassar, a longtime journalist, author and activist, is Policy Director at the Alternative Information Center. We talked about the Palestinian reaction to the recent policy speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Obama administration’s push for Palestinian/Israeli negotiations, and the possibility of the creation of a Palestinian coalition government in the near future.

Press Conference of the Parents of American Activist Tristan Anderson

On Monday, March 23, 2009, the parents of American activist Tristan Anderson held a press conference at the Alternative Information Center. They gave a medical update on their son, who was shot in the head with a high velocity tear gas canister by Israeli border police on March 13th.

On 25 September 2008, the Alternative Information Center spoke with Ariella Azoulay and Adi Ophir about their book, This Regime Which is not One - Occupation and Democracy Between the Sea and the River (1967 - ), published this year in Hebrew by Resling Press. Ariella Azoulay teaches visual culture and contemporary philosophy at the Program for Culture and Interpretation at Bar Ilan University. Adi Ophir teaches philosophy at Tel Aviv University's Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas.
